Pakistan Navy teams rescue 372 people
KARACHI: In connection with Pakistan Navy’s on-going Flood Relief Operation MADAD, Pakistan Navy’s teams have rescued 372 people including women, men and children from different areas of district Sukkur. KARACHI: In connection with Pakistan Navy’s on-going Flood Relief Operation MADAD, Pakistan Navy’s teams have rescued 372 people including women, men and children from different areas of district Sukkur. During the Rescue Operation, the personnel have been evacuated from Saeedabad, Goth Ali Nawaz, Hussain Buksh Lashair, Sohbat Baloch and Kingri of district Sukkur to safer places.
While establishing its relief operation headquarters at Sujawal, Pakistan Navy’s Diving and Rescue teams equipped with Zulu boats, de-flooding pumps, life jackets and life saving medicines are functioning/deployed at Kingri, Ghotki, Khairpur, Sukkur, Badin and Jati. The Emergency Relief Teams (ERTs) have also been put on the high alert in the areas of Lahore, Ormara, Makran, Pasni, Gwadar, Jiwani, Turbat, Shah Bandar, Sujawal and Ghotki to meet any eventuality. All possible arrangements for safe evacuation of flood affectees, search and rescue of missing persons and provision of medical assistance and other necessities have been made. Transportation of required equipments and supplies has also been ensured.
