NOWSHERA: Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Monday asked the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI’s) Chairman Imran Khan to apologise to the nation for wasting precious time of the people over rigging issue.
Speaking at a public gathering as part of the election campaign for the ANP candidates in the re-polling here, he alleged that Imran Khan had misled the people on the issue of rigging in the May 2013 general elections.
ANP district president Malik Juma Khan, Khushal Khan, candidate for tehsil council seat Hayat Ali Khan and others also spoke on the occasion.Haider Hoti urged the government and PTI to avoid confrontation and not to play politics with the findings of the Judicial Commission. He called for politics of reconciliation as it was in the best interest of the people and the country. “The country cannot afford any confrontation,” he added.
The ANP leader asked Imran Khan to utilize his KP government energies for provision of relief to the flood affectees. Regarding Khan’s statement about construction of controversial Kalabagh dam, the nationalist leader said that the issue was a dead horse. He said that the politicians and political parties wishing to put life into this dead issue were living in a fool’s paradise.Haider Hoti alleged that formed minister Ziaullah Afridi was being made a scapegoat in the mining scandal to save the skin of other influential persons and corrupt officers.
