Students of private schools bag top positions in DG Khan

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The Dera Ghazi Khan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Saturday announced the result of annual matriculation examinations 2015 here.
All three top positions were grabbed by the students of private educational institutions. As many as 58,578 candidates appeared in the exams and out of them 43,069 were declared pass with 73.52 pass percentage. According to the result, Nabeeha Fatima, roll no 119389 and a student of the Punjab High School Girls Wing Layyah, bagged first position by securing 1077 marks while Kumail Ejaz, roll no 122848 and a student of Nobel Public High School Alipur Muzaffargarh, bagged second position with 1075 marks and Arsalan Basit, roll no 138104 and a student of Sardar Kourey Khan Higher Secondary School, obtained third slot by getting 1073 marks. Kumail Ejaz bagged first position in Science Group of boys while Arsalan Basit stood second and Muhammad Yousaf of Government Boys High School No 1 Kot Addu and Sammar Ali secured third position jointly with bagging 1072 marks each. Likewise, Nabeeha Fatima bagged first position while Zailaf Ahmed and Ayesha Imtiaz secured second and third slots respectively in girls Science Group. Similarly, Hafiz Adeel Akhtar of Government Boys High School Kot Tahir Rajanpur obtained first position with 927 marks while private students Abdul Wasey, roll no 171128, and Hassan Jehangir, roll no 171123, secured second and third positions respectively in General Group of boys. Sehrish Mukhtiar, roll no 171023 and a student of Government Girls High School Mana Ahmadani DG Khan grabbed first position in girls of the General Group with 999 marks while private candidate Rabia Naseer of Muzaffargarh and Noor Fatima of Government Girls High School DG Khan obtained second and third positions respectively. Meanwhile, a function was also organised in which Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Sardar Sher Ali Gurchani was the chief guest. Meanwhile, Deputy Controller of the board Amjad Hussain said that the matriculation supplementary examinations would start from Sept 8.
