NOWSHERA: Awami National Party (ANP) provincial President Ameer Haider Hoti on Sunday said that the civil servants had either gone on leave or got transferred to other provinces due to flawed policies of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led provincial government.
Talking to reporters after offering condolences to the family of Major (r) Ayaz Khan, he said that the prevailing spree of arrests and harassing of the civil servants by the Ehtesab Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has brought the official work to a virtual halt.
“Officials serving on important positions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are leaving the province,” he added. He said the rulers should offer themselves for accountability if they were serious about eliminating corruption.
He said that a huge sum of the Annual Development Programme lapsed during the second consecutive year of the present provincial government. He said the lapse of development funds pointed to the flawed polices of the provincial government.Haider Hoti, who is also a former chief minister, said the PTI-led provincial government failed to initiate any mega uplift project in the province.
