LAHORE: Partly cloudy weather with chances of rain and thunder are expected in the provincial metropolis on Monday (today) while the coming week will bring more rain with the exception of Thursday.
Seasonal low lies over northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending northeastwards. Monsoon currents are penetrating into central and upper parts of the country and expected to strengthen from tonight and likely to continue during next few days. The maximum temperature in the city on Sunday was 41 degree Celsius while the minimum was 27. The maximum in the country was 47 degrees at Mohenjo-daro.
In the next 24 hours, rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir while at isolated places in Sargodha, Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Zhob division and upper FATA. Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
