Nadra has blocked more than 50,000 CNICs of people belonging to Fata. The authority cleared my family’s CNICs after conducting a thorough and vigorous investigation and we heaved a sigh of relief. But our agonies are not over. My brother, who turned 18, applied for the CNIC and again Nadra blocked our CNICs. There is no point in blocking CNICs of children after their parents have received the clearance certificate.
When I visited Nadra’s Hayatabad branch to show them the family’s clearance certificates they handed me yet another verification form. I am a government servant. Is this not proof enough of my loyalty to the state? Why is this treatment being meted out to the people of Fata? Please don’t disgrace our respectable elders in the name of CNIC verification. I hope Nadra’s Hayatabad office will attend to my complaints.
