K-Electric overpower KG in Karachi Gymkhana T20

KARACHI: K-Electric outgunned Karachi Gymkhana Blues by 86 runs in their Group B fixture of the 30th Karachi Gymkhana Omar Associates Ramazan Festival Twenty20 Cricket Tournament 2015 here at the Karachi Gymkhana Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
Solid contributions from the top four, Israrullah (54 off 31 balls), Faraz Ali (43 off 31 balls), Majid Khan (42 off 25 balls) and Sajjad Shakeel (39 off 23 balls), allowed K-Electric to install a total of 192 for five in the allotted 20 overs. Off-spinner Zeeshan Essa (2-50) was the most successful of the Gymkhana bowlers.
The K-Electric bowlers also rose to the occasion and gave nothing away. They contained Karachi Gymkhana to 112 for seven in 20 overs despite fine knocks from Farhan Arif (26 off 22 balls) and Omar Shaikh (23 off 21 balls). Leg-spinner Shahzeb Ahmed (3-20) and left-arm spinner Sajjad Shakeel (2-20) shared the bowling honours.
