PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday arrested District Revenue Officer (DRO) Khalid Saleem Marwat and Tehsildar of Abbottabad Samiullah for fraudulently allotting 28 kanals of land to a person causing a loss of Rs300 million to the exchequer. As per an official communiqué, it was revealed in an inquiry that the government land measuring 28 kanal situated at Mauza Shahdhand in Peshawar was leased out for one year to Anwar Khan. It said after that one Fazal Qadeem filed a suit against Anwar Khan and misled the court that Anwar Khan had sold out the above mentioned land to him. In the affidavit submitted before the court, it was fraudulently shown that the said land was owned by Anwar Khan. Misled by the fraudulent evidence, the court decreed the suit ex-parte. After almost 13 years, Fazal Qadeem submitted an application with the DRO/Collector Khalid Saleem Marwat to direct sub-registrar for registration of the illegally gotten court decree.
