QUETTA: Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) Quetta is making strenuous efforts to ensure smooth supply of water to the citizens during the holy month of Ramazan.
Talking to APP here on Sunday, Managing Director (MD) WASA, Abdul Wali Kakar said the authority had taken steps to keep all the tube wells fully operational in the city so that the citizens get water as per their schedule timings.
He, however, held unannounced power load shedding responsible for shortage of water in some parts of the city as without power the WASA tube-wells in these particular areas could not be operated due to which there is shortage of water.
Besides, he said tube-wells operators of the WASA had been made regular which also proved helpful to ensure smooth water supply to the residents of the city.He urged the consumers to timely pay the WASA dues outstanding against them so that the authority does not face financial problems in its operations.
