ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), which investigates fake degree scandals in the country, now will probe degrees of its own employees.
It is learnt that the watchdog has issued notification of degrees verification of FIA employees from Grade 5 to Grade 14.Additional Director Establishment Khizar Saleem Khokhar has issue notification in this regard, sources said. According to sources, approximately seven hundred newly appointed employees of FIA would undergo the verification process.
The watchdog decided to verify degrees of its own employees after news came in limelight which suggested that degrees of employees of IBMS project were suspected.During 2000 to 2015, around 1500 employees were recruited in the watchdog, in first phase, degrees of 700 newly appointed employees would be verified.Initially, FIA asked its employees and officers to submit their original degrees so these can be verified from HEC and local universities.
