Additional post of professors at FJMU approved
LAHORE: The 12th meeting of Fatima Jinnah Medical University syndicate was held under the chairpersonship of Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid.
Members of syndicate including Vice Chancellor FJMU Prof Dr Aamir Rizwan Khan, Prof Dr Tahira Murtaza, Umul Bonain Ali, Member Punjab Assembly Ayesha Nawaz, Prof Nishat Masood, Prof Dr Musarat Nisaar, Prof Dr Maira and Medical Superintendent Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Prof Dr Fayyaz were present in the meeting.
Medical Superintendent Government Teaching Hospital Shahdara, Principal Nursing College Ganga Ram and Vice-Chancellor University of health sciences were also present on this occasion. Important decisions were taken in the meeting.
The meeting gave approval of additional post of professors in Fatima Jinnah Medical University. Approval was also given for the repair and restoration of the dilapidated building of Fatima Jinnah Medical University .
The minister also gave approval of the regular treasurer for the Fatima Jinnah Medical University besides purchase of Gastroscopy machine for the Endoscopy department of Ganga Ram Hospital, colour developer ultra sound machine for the radiology department of Ganga Ram Hospital.
Six new neonatal ventilators for the children ward Ganga Ram Hospital and two anaesthesia machines.She said that all the government medical teaching hospitals will be upgraded for providing the patients modern medical facilities. She said under Prime Minister health initiative rehabilitation work of government sector hospitals is being speedily carried out.
