‘West-funded NGOs a threat to security’

Various religious and political leaders, intellectuals and scholars have warned against serious dangers to national security and ideology posed by countless west-funded NGOs, and announced launching a countrywide movement for protecting country’s defence and ideology.
Addressing a convention titled “East Pakistan Tragedy and Indian Role” under the aegis of Jamaatud Dawah on Tuesday, they also cautioned country’s security agencies that Washington and its allies were out to avenge their defeat in Afghanistan by giving some big anti-Pakistan task to Delhi in the region, especially to sabotage the China Pakistan Economic Corridor by creating unrest in Northern Areas.
They also condemned the restoration of the “Save The Children” NGO under the US pressure, after its operations were suspended on charges of involvement in anti-Pakistan activities, and said the NGO was involved in suspicious activities in the Northern Areas and its restoration would be highly damaging for national security.
JD ameer Hafiz Saeed said the Indian agencies were working to create unrest in the Gilgit-Baltistan region to sabotage the Pak-China economic corridor project, adding that Delhi wanted to develop its own alternative land route to Central Asian region via Chitral and Afghanistan after the Pakistani project was destroyed. Condemning the restoration of Save the Children, Hafiz Saeed said a large number of such NGOs were undermining Pakistan’s security. He said it had been the modus operandi of the US and Europe to send their agents under the guise of relief and trader groups to capture other countries.
Hafiz Saeed said Narender Modi had been working on one point agenda to destroy Pakistan and its economy, and warned the national leadership to join hands for consolidating the national defence which should be above all political considerations. He praised the COAS for raising voice for Kashmir and said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should also raise the issue on world forums. He condemned drastic changes in syllabi that replaced essays about Pakistan ideology with those of secularism, and said it would cause serious damages to national security and unity in coming years.
Former foreign minister Sardar Aseff Ahmad Ali said Narender Modi rose to the prime minister by promoting Muslim hatred and committing Muslim massacre, adding that Muslim-hatred had been in the blood of Hindu leaders.
He said present anti-Pakistan outbursts by Modi were also aimed at winning the coming elections. He said Pakistan did not want war against India but only wanted to fight against anti-Muslim mentality of Hindu leadership.
JI secretary general Liaqat Baloch said Indian Prime Minister Narendar Modi’s confession of aiding Mukti Bahini and dismembering Pakistan should deserve punishment from the International Court of Justice.
Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki said avenging India for its role in dismembering Pakistan was now a debt on the country.
