DASKA: A jobless youth Saturday attempted suicide in the area of Bombanwala police.
Arshad was unemployed for four years. He used to quarrel with his family over his unemployment. On the day of the incident, he took poisonous pills and was shifted to hospital when his condition began to deteriorate.
ROBBERS INJURE BOY: Three robbers shot at and injured a boy for offering resistance to them in the city area on Saturday. Shahid was sleeping at his house when the dacoits entered the house. They started snatching things. Shahid resisted them and they shot at and injured him. He was shifted to civil hospital.
GAMBLERS HELD: The City police Saturday arrested four gamblers and recovered stake money from their possession. On a tip-off, the police arrested gamblers identified as Adnan, Arshad, Naeem and Sohail, who were busy in gambling on Awami road. The police recovered Rs 29,000 from them.
