GUJRANWALA: The district election commissioner has completed delimitations of union councils and wards for the upcoming Local Government elections.
Objections can be filed to the district election commissioner officer till June 30. In rural areas, there will be one district council with 93 union councils while in urban areas, there will be one municipal corporation with seven municipal committees and 73 union councils. Each union council has six wards.

GUJRANWALA: ATC No-1 Judge Imtiaz Ahmad Chaudhry on Friday extended judicial remand of former Daska SHO Inspector Shahzad Warraich for four days in a case of killing two lawyers.
Daska police produced the accused SHO before the court and sought extension in his judicial remand, which the judge granted. The judge directed the joint investigation team to file a complete challan on the next hearing. Police told the judge that the challan would be submitted to the prosecution branch today (Saturday).
