Efforts to beautify Nowshera to continue: Maj-Gen Tahir
NOWSHERA: Garrison Commander of Nowshera Major-General Tahir Gulzar Malik (Hilal-e-Imtiaz Military) said on Friday speedy steps were being made to beautify the Nowshera Cantonment and city.
“The Nowshera Cantonment and Nowshera City are being turned into a green belt. A beautiful and green Nowshera will emerge as a result of these measures,” he said this while speaking as a chief guest at the Spring Festival and Annual Flower Show at the historic Jinnah Bagh on the bank of the Kabul River.
Station Commander Brigadier Nazeer Hussain Shah, officials of the Nowshera Garrison, Cantonment Board, district administration, Tarnab Farms research officers — the people behind the flower show —, students, women and children were present at the function in a large number.
Major-General Tahir Gulzar Malik said a master plan had been drawn up for the development of the Jinnah Bagh, which had historic importance.
The official was all-praise for Nowshera Cantonment Board and Station Headquarters for arranging the Spring Festival and Annual Flower Show which provided a lot of recreation to the families. He hoped such joint efforts would continue in future to give a beautiful and green look to the Nowshera Garrison.
