Special persons to get Sehat Insaf Cards: CM

LAHORE: On the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Punjab government has announced issuing Sehat Insaf Cards to the special persons.

The CM has directed the line departments to compile the data of special persons across the province so that necessary steps could be taken in this regard. He has also directed for submitting him a report. Special persons and their family members could avail healthcare facilities from hospitals up to 7.20 lakh rupees through Sehat Insaf Cards.

Usman Buzdar said the Punjab government has decided to issue Sehat Insaf Cards to special persons because their medical needs are particular. He said that the PTI government gives special importance to the wellbeing and treatment of special persons and issuance of Sehat Insaf Cards will provide more relief to them.

This is the unprecedented step of the Punjab government and many more initiatives will be introduced to help rehabilitate the special persons in future as well, the CM said.

Naya Pakistan: A delegation of UK-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its president Amjad Khan called on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at his office here on Thursday.

The delegation showed its interest in investment in different sectors and said that they are interested in making an investment in agriculture, livestock, dairy development, tourism, industry, and other sectors. Naya Pakistan is moving towards progress and we want to collaborate in this journey of development, the delegation said and disclosed that initial planning has been made to invest 200 million pound in Punjab and agreements are being executed in this regard.

Talking to them, the CM said that Naya Pakistan is opened to the investors. The UK-based Pakistanis should invest and they will be provided full protection by the government. Punjab government will provide every possible incentive to the investors because investment ensures development and prosperity. Roadshow will also be arranged in London under the aegis of Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, he said.

The chief minister said that investors will not face any difficulty and no interference will be allowed in the investment process. He made it clear that the investment process will not succumb to any bureaucratic snafu and any problem faced by the investors will be solved on priority. He reiterated that the investment process will not be allowed to halt at any moment and the problems will be dealt with on a priority basis. He said that expatriates love their country very much and Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab has been activated to help solve their problems. Usman Buzdar said that properties of overseas Pakistanis will be protected and added that he will personally monitor the problem-solving mechanism. The delegation also extended sympathies to the Chief Minister over the death of his father and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

notice: Usman Buzdar has sought a report from the CCPO about the death of a youth near Lori Adda by a police vehicle. The CM said a comprehensive report should be submitted to him and a legal action be initiated after identification of people responsible. The bereaved heirs will be provided justice.
