More than 300,000 saplings planted in capital
Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Amer Ali Ahmed said that civic body with the mutual collaboration of different departments is being carried out a massive tree plantation in the city under Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Pakistan Campaign.
Consolidated steps have been taken to protect and further enhance green cover of the Federal Capital in this regard, he added. Talking to this agency, senior official of CDA said that CDA with collaboration with other departments has planted more that three lacks sapling in the city so far.
He said authority would use drone technology to spread seeds in selected patches, especially those which have been damaged and are difficult to reach by foot. We are trying to experience this drone technology for aerial seeding for the first time to reach the areas which have been damaged/destroyed because of wild fires and for other reasons", he added.
