‘Girls can play role in promoting peace’
LAHORE :Girls can play an important role in promoting peace in our society. Without effective participation of girls, we cannot get results of peace promotion efforts in Pakistan, said panelists in a session on “Role of Girls in Peace Process.”
Dr. Samia Raheel Qazi, member of the Islamic Ideology Council, MPA Sadia Sohail Rana and others emphasized the importance of peace. “No movement can be successful without participation of girls. For the progress of the country, youth have to come forward. We have to eliminate differences by promoting the culture of dialogue,” Samia Raheel Qazi said. “The government of Punjab is striving to promote girls in every walk of life. The PTI government has made policies and legislation for girls, so that they can participate in decision-making. Promotion and progress of girls is agenda of the PTI government,” MPA Sadia Sohail Rana said.
