Two injured for resisting mugging bids
A young man was shot and injured for putting up resistance to a robbery bid in the upscale Clifton neighbourhood on Friday.
The incident took place in the Upper Gizri area within the precincts of the Clifton police station. He was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medical treatment. Police said that two suspects riding a motorcycle injured 25-year-old Akash when he offered resistance during a robbery bid.
In another incident, 35-year-old Abdul Ghaffar was injured after two men riding a motorcycle shot and injured him after he put up resistance to a robbery bid in Allah Bakhsh Goth within the limits of the SITE Super Highway police station. He was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. The police have registered a case against unidentified persons and initiated investigations.
