Moot on management of Pakistan economy ends

LAHORE: A two-day 15th annual conference on Management of Pakistan Economy has concluded at the Lahore School of Economics.

The first session was presided over by Dr Theresa Chaudhry. In the start of the session, Dr Naveed Hamid presented a comparative review of Pakistan and India. The second paper was presented by Dr Azam Chaudhry and Gul Andaman shedding light on import trends of Pakistan.

The energy sector was discussed in the third paper by Dr Rajah Rasiah and Dr Muhammad Shujaat Mubarik. On the conclusion of this session a discussion led by Syed Babar Ali was held on increasing population growth rate. The second session was presided over by Dr Naveed Hamid and challenges being faced by the country’s industry sector were discussed in detail.

Dr Musleh ud Din, Dr Nasir Iqbal and Dr Daud Ahmed presented papers. The third session took up agriculture sector of the country which was presided over by Dr Ahmed Masood Khalid while Dr Mahmood Ahmad, Mahira Khan, Dr Ghulam Saghar, Maha Ahmed, Dr Aitzaz and Dr Abdul Salam presented papers.

The last session of the conference, presided over by Dr Azam Chaudhry, was about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
