PPP KP to mark ZA Bhutto’s death anniversary today
PESHAWAR: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will observe the death anniversary of its founding chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto today (Thursday) at all division and districts.
Two main functions will be held in Peshawar, where members of the provincial organisation will address workers.
PPP provincial leader Misbahuddin said that the Peshawar chapter would hold the main function at the hujra of Jehanzeb Khan at Landi Arbab while the second function would be held in Gunj.
He said the workers from all over the province would participate in the main function.
PPP spokesman Tariq Khan said the central and provincial leaders from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had gone to Larkana to participate in the main function.
In a statement on Wednesday, PPP provincial president Humayun Khan termed ZA Bhutto a great leader. He said ZA Bhutto had given unanimous Constitution to the country.
Humayun Khan said the PPP leader had launched a movement for getting rights of the poor labourers and workers and laid down his life but did not compromise on his principles.
He recalled that ZA Bhutto organised the OIC summit in Lahore in a bid to unite the Muslim world.
He said former prime minister Benazir Bhutto followed in her father’s footsteps and sacrificed her life, but she also did not compromise on principles.
