TIMERGARA: The unemployed educated youth in Lower Dir district have praised the Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Dr Sumeera Shams for raising their voice on the assembly floor.

Dr Sumeera Shams tabled a resolution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, asking Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission to ensure establishing examination centres in Lower Dir district as the unemployed youth from the area were facing immense difficulties to travel to Peshawar or Swat to appear in the examinations. The resolution, signed by MPA Haji Bahader Khan and Sardar Hussain Babak of the ANP, Inayatullah of JI and Shafiullah Khan of PTI, was passed unanimously. “We hail Dr Sumeera Shams for raising this important issue on assembly floor”, said Manzoor Elahi.

Asadullah, a young man from Talash in Lower Dir, told The News that Dr Sumeera Shams had done what they were expecting from her. Gulalai Jamal Yousafzai from Balambat, said that last year she took examination held under KPPSC for the post of lecturer. She said her father accompanied her for the test in Peshawar and both had to face difficulties. MPA Dr Sumeera Shams told The News via phone from Peshawar that there was no reason for not establishing KPPSC’s examination centres in Lower Dir as only the population of Lower and Upper Dir exceeds 2.3 million besides millions of population of other adjacent districts including Chitral and Bajaur.
