Minor boy drowns in canal

TOBA TEK SINGH: A seven-year-old boy drowned in a canal near Chak 361/GB Nagra on Tuesday.
Usman was taking bath along with his father Younis in the canal when suddenly he went deep down in water and drowned. Meanwhile, the dead body of Tariq Nazir of Chak 670/11-GB was recovered near Sindhilianwali on Monday night. Arrouti police shifted the body to the THQ Hospital Pirmahal for autopsy.
WOMAN DIES, HUSBAND HURT IN ACCIDENT: A woman died while her husband was injured in a road accident near Chak 295/GB Barianwala on Monday night.
Muhammad Waqas and his wife Sajida Parveen were on their way by a motorcycle when a water tanker hit their vehicle on Toba-Chichawatni Road. As a result, both fell on the road. In the meantime, a speeding car coming from behind crushed Sajida to death.
RICKSHAW DRIVERS STRIKE: Kamalia rickshaw drivers on Tuesday observed a complete strike over receiving of Rs 2,500 token fee from them by the Excise Department.
They also took out a rally, which started from Kot Khaira and ended at Thana Chowk.

TOBA TEK SINGH: A youth killed his sister over a domestic dispute at Chak 739/GB near Kamalia on Tuesday.
Accused Saeed quarrelled with his sister Kaki Bibi over some domestic dispute. Later, the accused allegedly axed her to death. Police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.
