Two arrested in Battagram sexual assault case

MANSEHRA: Two men were arrested in Battagram district for allegedly sexually assaulting a boy, videotaping the crime and using the footage for blackmailing that forced the victim to commit suicide, police said on Tuesday.

“The two men, who had filmed the sexual assault of a minor boy in Battgram town a few months ago to harass and blackmail him, were arrested on Monday night,” said a police official. The official said the boy committed suicide allegedly after persistent harassment and blackmail by the two accused.

The official said the two accused, who had allegedly video-filmed the act of the boy, were taken into police custody after an investigation. He added one of the two accused had confessed to his crime in the court.
