Two cops, civilian injured in DI Khan blast
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two policemen and a civilian were injured in a remote-controlled blast at Mahra Drain in the limits of Prova Police Station on Monday, official sources said. The sources said that explosives had been planted in a cycle. A police patrolling van was passing nearby when the blast took place. Sub-Inspector Khanzada and constable Mohammad Shoaib and a passerby, whose name could not be known, were injured in the blast. Five other policemen traveling in the van remained unhurt in the explosion. The injured cops were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in DI Khan city where they were said to be out of danger. The police said the blast was triggered through explosives planted in a bicycle. The police later launched a search operation but no arrests could be made.
