Governor’s House to open to private functions

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that business plan has been prepared for Governor’s House and corporate organisations and other sectors will be provided facility to host their functions in Governor’s House.

“Without any doubt, Pakistan can only prosper by focusing on agriculture” said the Punjab governor while addressing the "Agriculture Conference" at a local hotel. Provincial Food Minister Sami Ullah, Provincial Agriculture Minister Nouman Langrial and MPA Nadeem Qureshi were also present. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said, “The business plans for historical buildings are made across the world and we have proposed business plan for Governor’s House, Lahore, by taking all stakeholders on board.” “We are also taking steps to promote agriculture in the province. Without making farmer prosperous, no country can prosperous. “We will provide all possible relief and needed subsidies to farmers. We are also introducing public-private partnership in the agriculture field” said the Punjab governor. Government is taking steps to provide cheap and high quality seed to farmers by bearing the burden of cost, he stated. “We will also launch a crackdown on substandard seeds,” he added. He said that the federal and Punjab governments were taking steps to introduce latest technology in the agriculture sector. He also said Pakistan had once again exposed Indian aggression before the world by shooting down Indian drone. Muhammad Sarwar said that Pakistan Armed Forces had made tremendous sacrifices in fight against terrorism. “Whole nation salutes and pays tribute to the martyrs. Pakistan has always condemned terrorism and tried to play its role in uprooting terrorism across the world,” he said.
