Black warrants of prisoner issued

HARIPUR: The black warrants have been issued by the KP Home Department for the execution of a condemned prisoner convicted for murder. When contacted, the prison authorities confirmed the receipt of death warrants for Gul Ahmad Khan who has been imprisoned at Haripur Central Prison.
The Home Department issued the black warrants for Gul Ahmad Khan, a resident of Mardan, after his mercy petition was turned down by President Mamnoon Hussain. According to official sources, after the orders, preparations are underway to arrange his final meeting with the family members.
Meanwhile, black warrants for Toti Khan, a resident of Battagram, were also issued by the Home Department on June 2. But according to prison authorities, they had received an order from the sessions court to postpone the case of Toti Khan till further orders as a patch-up is expected between the two families.
