LAHORE: Partly cloudy weather continued to prevail in the City on Thursday while Met Office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Met officials said a westerly wave was affecting the upper parts of the country. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm (with snowfalls over the hills) accompanied by gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Makran, Kalat and Shaheed Benazirabad divisions, officials said. Weather remained cold and dry in other parts of the country. Rainfall was observed in a number of cities, including Islamabad AP, 16mm, Jhang, 14, Kamra, 11, Toba Tek Singh, 6, Shorkot, 5, Chakwal, 4, Joharabad, 3, Sargodha, 2 and Bagrote, 1mm. Met officials said that Thursday's minimum temperature was recorded at Kalam where the mercury dropped to -06°C while in Lahore it was 11°C and maximum was 23.4°C.
