Kamran confident of winning eliminator
KARACHI: Discarded Test stumper and Peshawar Zalmi’s hard-hitting opener Kamran Akmal on Thursday said they would pull off success in their eliminator if his team played with a positive frame of mind.
“If we go with a positive mind whichever team comes against us in the eliminator God will help us,” Kamran told reporters here after Peshawar Zalmi’s training session at the National Stadium.
Zalmi were undone by Quetta Gladiators by ten runs in their playoff on Wednesday. “Yesterday we took a good start. Then in bowling we made some mistakes and definitely the management will think about it. As a player I will try to give my hundred percent,” said Kamran.
He said Karachi crowd supported every team. “Peshawar Zalmi get support everywhere but I am happy that all teams are getting support here. It’s a good sign. Last year too crowd supported every team,” said Kamran, who has so far scored 262 runs in 11 matches at 23.81 average with his highest being 86.
