Dist govt to execute Rs200m schemes
MANSEHRA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz-led district government is going to execute development schemes in government departments with an estimated cost of Rs200 million.
“We have earmarked an amount of Rs200 million for the execution of schemes in government departments and work on these schemes is going to begin as the tendering process has been completed,” District Nazim Sardar Said Ghulam told reporters on Thursday.
He said the Education Department was allocated an amount of Rs100 million to complete work on the under-construction schools.
“Our students are still receiving education in a miserable condition as over 200 schools destroyed in the October 8, 2005 earthquake couldn’t be reconstructed so far,” said Ghulam.He said an amount of Rs60 million was earmarked for the Health Department where more rooms at the existing basic health units would be constructed to accommodate more and more patients. The nazim said that Rs40 billion were earmarked for the rest of department.
