First ‘Khadija Awards’ given to aspiring women by IWCCI

Islamabad : IWCCI organised first ever ‘Khadija Awards’ here on at Islamabad Club to celebrate Women’s Day and achievements, reward and acknowledge the hard work of some of the most successful, entrepreneurial and inspiring business women. Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplaces Kashmala Tariq was the chief guest on the occasion.

Rizwana Asif, president IWCCI said that we have invited all sectors and industries to come together for an evening of celebration to recognize the best of home-grown talent and the valuable contribution that women make to their economic life.

Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IWCCI) is one of the authorized and approved Women chamber of Commerce & industry from Ministry of Commerce Government of Pakistan. The Chamber was formed to create an exclusive platform for female entrepreneurs & professional women to strengthen their capacity and promote their product in local, national and international markets. IWCCI is proud to look back on a year that united women, advance their business interests, and help to showcase the prominent role that women play in Pakistan’s economy.

The Executive committee of IWCCI now looks forward for another year of progress. They said that they would continue to serve their members by providing relevant training programs that link members to international best practices and know-how and support services that encourage members to express their creativity through trade & industry. IWCCI comprises of over 350 genuine active women enterprises and are dealing in the Cottage to SME’s sector such as hand knitted carpets, handicrafts, designers jewelry, and textile, garments, home decor, furniture, leather, energy and solar solutions, IT, and almost 100 are dealing in beauty products and Saloon Industry.
