Jang Media Group wins WAN-IFRA Award
DUBAI: Jang Media Group bagged the first prize at WAN-IFRA Middle Eastern Digital Media Awards 2019 for its campaign ‘The News Women Power 50’ in the category of Best Marketing Campaign for News Brand, says a press release on Thursday.Publications from various countries sent their entries in around 10 categories for their work in the print, publishing and digital industry. Jang Media Group has been winning WAN-IFRA awards for consecutive three years now. Previously, Jang Media Group won Asia Media Award, South Asian Digital Media Award or Print Innovation Award. The Middle Eastern Digital Media Award ceremony was held Wednesday at Dubai Knowledge Park.
This is the 14th edition of the WAN-IFRA Middle Eastern Conference and Awards, convening more than 300 renowned experts from around the world in the media, printing and publishing industries. The awards are specifically organised to recognise publishers that have successfully adapted to new digital media and mobile strategies and modified their product offerings to match consumer trends.
The News Women Power 50 won over Sayidat Magazine and Hia Magazine from Saudi Arabia that bagged second and third prize, respectively.
The idea behind The News Women Power 50 was to recognise the achievements made by women in Pakistan but also thank them for their valiant efforts in reforming our country. Through this, the people were given the opportunity to choose and make The News Women Power 50 by nominating and voting the most influential women from various fields Education, Politics, Social Welfare, Science, Health, Sports etc. The results were oriented in The News on International Women’s Day, celebrating the women of Pakistan who helped shape the country and made it better.
