Islamabad: After the success of Robotics Club, the Headstart School has announced the launch of the 'Makers Space' on its Kuri Campus on March 7.
According to the administration, the HS Robotics Club has proved to be an effective means of simulating and developing an interest in robotics among students of all age groups. The initiative is meant to help students develop learning skills such as analytical thinking, research, and curiosity about the world around them and to let them enjoy the process of learning.
"Our mission is to enable kids to become makers, scientists, inventors, and thinkers from an early age so they are able to inculcate a mindset of problem-solving and can solve local and global problems. We do this by creating a fun learning environment," a relevant staff member said.
He said the lab was specifically designed for grade 8 and above. "Students will learn the basic concepts of electronics and the difference between AC and DC motors. They will work on different robotic themes and prepare themselves for the competitions at university levels," he said.
The administration believed that the programme would give students a platform to build their own designs from scratch by using grinders, solders, and voltmeters. The students will also carry out projects on daily life problems.
