Pakistan crash out of Colombo junior tennis event

KARACHI: Pakistan crashed out of Asia-Oceania Pre-Qualifying ITF World Junior Tennis Competition in Colombo on Wednesday.
After losing 1-2 to Jordan, Pakistan lost their second group match 1-2 to Singapore to take the last position in the group C. In the first singles match, Huzaifa Khan was beaten by Maximus Wong 6-1, 1-6, 0-6.
Hamid Israr overpowered Adithya Suresh 1-6, 7-6(3), 6-4 in the second singles. However, the Pakistani pair of Hassan Ali and Hamid was defeated by the Singaporean duo of Bill Chan and Adithya 6-7(9), 1-6 in the decider doubles game. Jordan topped the group with two points. Singapore stood second with one point. Pakistan did not get any point.
