LAHORE: Internationally acclaimed film-maker Jamil Dehlavi’s award-winning film ‘Jinnah’ will be screened at the Institute for Art and Culture (IAC) on 4th March.
Made on the life of the Founder of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, this epic biographical film features Hollywood star Christopher Lee, Bollywood legend Shashi Kapoor, prominent British actor James Fox and eminent Pakistani actors, including Shakeel, Talat Hussain and Vaneeza Ahmad.
The film has won a number of international awards, including Golden World Film Award in Jakarta, Gold Award at Worldfest Falgstaff Festival, Zanzibar International Film Festival’s Golden Dhow Award and Cairo International’s Golden Pyramid Award. The film will be screened at the IAC campus on Raiwind Road at 5pm. The screening will also be the inauguration of IAC’s Film Club and coincides with a short film workshop mentored by Jamil Dehlavi, being held at the IAC from 4-10 March. The workshop will be attended by promising young film-makers and IAC film students.
