Partly cloudy forecast

A partly cloudy weather was observed in the city here Monday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours. Met officials said a shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country. They predicted that mainly cold and dry/partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain/thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha Divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Rainfall was recorded at several cities, including Malam Jabba 10, Dir 02, Kakul, Saidu Sharif, Chirat, Lower Dir 01, Kashmir: Kotli 02, Garhi Dupatta 01, Joharabad 03, Islamabad (Saidpur), Faisalabad, Hafizabad 01 and Astore 01 while snowfall was recorded at Malam Jabba. Monday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Kalam where mercury dropped down to -10°C while in Lahore it was 8.7°C and maximum was 21.8°C.
