GHALLANAI: The residents here on Friday blocked the Peshawar-Bajaur road to protest the postponement of the tendering process for uplift projects in the Mohmand tribal district.
The protesters led by Malik Shahjahan, Malik Lal Karim and Haider Khan Tarakzai said the Local Government Department had suspended the tendering process for development projects for the second time. The protesters said an inquiry team had cleared the tendering process from irregularities but it was postponed once again. Later, the protesters dispersed peacefully after assured by the officials that they would look into the matter.
