PU’s 128th convocation today
LAHORE: Punjab University’s 128th convocation will be held on Saturday (today) at 10:30am at Faisal Auditorium. Vice-Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad Akhter and others will attend.
training session: Punjab University Library and Ranking Committee organised a WebEx training session for the faculty members of the PU on the citation database “Scopus” with the collaboration of A&J DEF TEK consultants. Around 100 faculty members and scholars attended the session.
Asian Representative of Scopus Vishal Gupta provided the training through video conference on the salient features. Muhammad Rashid Pervez and Majid Murtaza Lodhi, A&J DEF TEK consultants, briefed the faculty on the remote access feature of the full text database IEEE. The feature has been recently enabled in Pakistan for researchers.
PU Ranking Committee Chairman Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood said Punjab University had subscribed the service of this database to facilitate its researchers. He said enormous features of the database were also helpful in enhancing the university ranking internationally. Chief Librarian Dr Muhammad Haroon Usmani thanked the consultants.
