Couple dies of gas leak in Swat

MINGORA: A couple died of suffocation caused by gas leakage in a room of the house in Amankot area in Swat district on Tuesday.
Police said that Muhammad Amin and his wife Shaheen Bibi were found dead in their home in Amankot area. They said the couple was asleep in the room with a gas heater on to ward off the chilling cold in the valley.
The police said the supply of gas was suspended at night due to load-shedding. Later, the gas supply restoration caused suffocation, leaving the couple dead. The police registered the case and started an investigation.
