Two held, over Rs1.4m looted money recovered
BARA: Two persons were arrested on the charges of snatching more than Rs1.4 million from a truck driver here on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters, Assistant Commissioner of Bara, Asmatullah Wazir said the Bara administration had been informed that some dacoits had looted Rs14,75,000 from a truck driver in Bara.
“After the incident, the Khassadar and Levies personnel barricaded the main Bara-Jamrud road and started checking,” the official said.
Asmatullah added the Khassadar and Levies men arrested the two persons and recovered the money from them.
He said that some accomplices of the accused had fled the scene. “We have launched a search operation to arrest them,” he said. The official said that the accused had been taken into custody and were being grilled.
