PPP renews support to labour unions
PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) provincial president Humayun Khan on Tuesday said his party would continue efforts against the ban on labour unions in State Life and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Through a statement issued here, he said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was snatching the basic democratic rights from the people.
The PPP leader said the PTI government first put curbs on the media and now on the social media. The government had now started snatching rights from the labour unions, he added.
He said the rulers had promised not to take loan from the International Monitory Fund but the government took a U-turn on the issue.
Humayun Khan also announced the provincial office-bearers for the People’s Doctors Forum (PDF).
