Islamabad: All departments including outpatients departments at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and at the three teaching hospitals in Rawalpindi including Holy Family Hospital, Benazir Bhutto Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital would remain operational as per routine on Monday (today).
The federal government has announced a local holiday in the federal capital on Monday in the wake of the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to Islamabad however almost all public sector hospitals including PIMS and allied hospitals in Rawalpindi would be operational. The PIMS has received no notification regarding local holiday and all departments of the hospital would be fully functional, said Executive Director at PIMS Dr. Amjad Mehmood while talking to ‘The News’ on Sunday. He said the hospital would remain on high alert on Monday.
Medical Superintendent at DHQ Hospital in Rawalpindi Dr. Khalid Randhawa informed ‘The News’ that the three allied hospitals in Rawalpindi would be operational on Monday and the OPDs would remain open to facilitate public. In the wake of Crown Prince’s visit, he said as per standard operating procedures of the public sector hospitals, the DHQ and the other two teaching hospitals in Rawalpindi would be on high alert on Monday.
