New block of Nazim Secretariat

PESHAWAR: District Nazim Muhammad Asim Khan inaugurated the new block of the Nazim Secretariat here on Tuesday.

Naib Nazim Qasim Ali Shah, Director General City District Government Peshawar Shafiqur Rehman and government officials were also present. Speaking on the occasion, M Asim said the local government was a nursery for democracy. He said the new block had been equipped with facilities that also included a park. The district nazim said the two-storey building had been constructed in accordance with modern architecture. The nazim said district council meeting would soon be convened to discuss the development schemes. It may be mentioned here that the new building has been built on land of the historic Shahi Bagh.
