HYDERABAD: New political alliance is coming up soon in the country to bring together all Pakistan Muslim League (PML) factions, except PML-N and may attract activists, who have said goodbye to PPP, PML-N and other parties.
“We are struggling to make a stronger political alliance to contest forthcoming local bodies elections together,” said PML-Q Sindh President Haleem Adil Shaikh, while addressing a press conference at Hyderabad Press Club on Wednesday.
He said all the leaders of PML factions agreed to foster political alliance before LB polls in the entire country. He said they are also moving to discuss with Sindhi nationalist parties like Qaumi Awami Tehreek (QAT) led by Ayaz Latif Palijo and Sindh United Party (SUP) led by Jalal Mahmood Shah to invite them to join the political alliance. On a query he said they have reservation with PTI chief Imran Khan because of his recent statements, which they believe are harmful for the federation. “This newly establishing alliance does not have room for terrorists and those believing on ethnicity. We will welcome if some people come from PPP, PML-N and other parties to join the alliance,” Shaikh said.
