NAWABSHAH: Sindh Education Secretary Dr Fazlullah Pechohu has said that the education sector is directly linked with common man and added that education is our identification.
He was talking to media at the Nawabshah Press Club. He said that de-merit and political influence in education sector has put it far behind Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and score of other countries. He said that corrupt officials of education department have made the standard of education worst.
The secretary vowed that teachers instead of teaching process are busy in other activities. He said that teachers appointed in village schools do not go there for teaching instead return to cities in connivance of corrupt officials.
He said that the government has started biometric attendance system of teachers to make them punctual.
He said that every person of society can send a message on this number informing about problems and proposals in education sector, which effort could bring betterment in education.
He said that a large amount of salaries were being paid to teachers by accounts officers in connivance with staff of education department. He said that to frustrate this practice, teachers would now receive pay roll from Accounts Office and it would be compared with Biometric system.
