Body of missing boy found in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: The body of an eight-year-old boy, who had gone missing four months ago, was found in Ashkhel area of Landikotal Tehsil in Khyber Agency, tribal sources said on Monday.
Amjad Khan, a resident of Ashkhel, told this scribe that Hammad, 8, went missing in January this year. He said they searched the boy in all surrounding areas but failed to find him. He said the body of the boy was found lying in a non-functional tube-well in the village.
Amjad said the killers had cut the body into pieces. The funeral prayer was offered in the area amid moving scenes. Residents demanded inquiry into the incident and asked the authorities to award exemplary punishment to those involved in the killing. Officials of the Landikotal administration later visited the site and met the aggrieved family.
