The Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (Piler) donated Rs500,000 for emergency relief in earthquake-hit Nepal. The amount has been transferred to the bank account of an NGO, Federation of Nepal, which appealed to the civil society organisations of the South Asian region.
This donation amount includes a day’s salary of all Piler employees, while the remaining was contributed by the Pakistan Labour Trust, a sister organisation of Piler.
Piler urged other civil society organisations, philanthropist associations and individuals to contribute larger amounts to the relief fund. The donations can be transferred through the bank account in Nabil Bank Limited, Tindhara, Beenamarg, Kathamandu, Nepal.
