When it comes to population control Pakistan should emulate China. Unchecked population growth is like a ticking bomb and has the potential to bring our whole edifice of development crashing down.
China, aware of its billion-plus people, has done well to control its population. It even enacted stringent laws – though they trampled over human rights – to check its population from spiralling out of control. But we have not learnt any lesson from China. We still have time before it gets critical.
