Allergy and ordinary respiratory diseases should be treated with Vitamin C and fish instead of antibiotics as it reduces immunity and prolongs treatment besides patient feel weakness in the body.
This was stated by Dr Noorul Aarfeen Pulmonologist at TECH Society Club on Sunday during a medical seminar on the topic of “Allergy and respiratory diseases and their cure”. Dr Muhammad Sadiq, Dr Tariq Sohail and Jameel Gishkori also spoke. Explaining causes of allergy and respiratory diseases Dr Noorul Aarfeen said environmental pollution, smoking and waste of factories were mainly contributing to these diseases in Pakistan. He said developing countries were more prone to such diseases as compared to developed countries as developed countries had higher living standards, cleanliness and strict rules and regulations to overcome pollution.
Dr Aarfeen said try to remain safe from the acute effects of cold and heat waves in both seasons. Expose your body to sunlight in cold winter season and remain under shelter of trees in hot weather. Eat fruits like watermelon, etc. in summer and fish in winter seasons besides vitamin C.
