The Islamabad administration has enforced Section 144 against new construction activity in villages falling in land of upcoming residential sectors of F-14 and F-15.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Saddar), Islamabad Capital Territory Ms. Rabia Aurangzib has enforced Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 to prevent illegal BUP in the notified areas in the best public interest.
As such construction of ‘Kacha’ and ‘Pucca’ houses transportation loading, unloading of construction material within the territorial area of Sector F-14 and F-15 (Saddar Sub-Division) Islamabad has been prohibited forthwith.
This order shall come into force with immediate effect and remain in force for a period of two months.
The prime minister has approved two new Sectors F-14 and F-15 in Islamabad to cater to residential need of the federal government employees and other specified groups.
The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) is preparing to launch Sectors F-14 and F-15 at a time when it has not been able to develop Sector G-14 which was opened by the foundation about 12 years ago.
The foundation had started development activity in some parts of Sector G-14/2 and G-14/3 but compensation-related issues in Sector G-14/1 are yet to be addressed efficiently.
The allottees of Sector G-14, all of them have either retired (most of them crossing age of 70) or sold out their plots waiting for getting possession of their plots.
The allottees have demanded of management of the housing foundation to focus its energies on development of Sector G-14 before opening new sectors.
